DIRECTOR'S NOTES
The Memphis Boychoir has just started its 24th season of music making for elementary school aged boys in the mid-South. We have just returned from our Tour to Washington D.C. which included performances at the National Cathedral, the Basilica of the Immaculate Shrine and the Canadian and Singapore embassies. This experience was wonderful for everyone involved and we hope to continue providing opportunities similar to this. Performing and interacting with institutions like the National Cathedral promotes a great sense of growth and development in the Memphis Boychoir. We are focused not only on the continuing musical growth of the boys, but also the process of them developing into the next great leaders in the city of Memphis. We continue to search and recruit boys who love to sing as well as families that appreciate the life-long skill of music making that their children are exposed to. The tradition of boys singing and leading the worship experience has been a part of the church for hundreds of years. We are thrilled to be immersed in this tradition and performing this great repertoire. I invite you to search our website and to experience the sound of centuries at one of our 2011/12 programs.
